You are invited to an international conference that will explore teaching problem solving in numeracy and maths.
Come and join us to develop new skills, reflect on practice, network with local and international colleagues and build confidence and capacity for the year ahead!
Keynote addresses will consider the following topics:

  • why should we teach problem solving?
  • how can technology support the teaching and learning of problem solving?

Keynote speakers will include:

  • Mr Raymond Caldwell, Education and Training Inspectorate, Assistant Chief Inspector for Early Years, Primary, and Post Primary
  • Dr Alison Clark-Wilson, Principal Research Lead, UCL EDUCATE Project, UCL Institute of Education, UCL Knowledge Lab.

A choice of professional learning seminars will include:

  • problem-solving approaches
  • using Geogebra to enrich problem solving
  • using technology to present a problem-solving activity
  • using technologies to develop problem-solving activities
  • teaching problem solving in technology rich environments.

These interactive seminars will explore a wide range of practical approaches, resources and research directly related to classroom practice. The seminars will be led by the international partners of the Erasmus+ project and Dr Alison Clarke-Wilson.
