Explaining the Difference
In 2009, jointly with Evaluation Support Scotland,
we won an investment from the Scottish Government
Learning Connections team to develop monitoring and evaluation
capacity within the voluntary adult learning and education
sector.
Using Evaluation Support Scotland's expertise in monitoring
and evaluation, we developed a pilot programme for five
members to articulate the outcomes of their projects within the
context of national outcomes.
Through the programme members built logic models to coherently
identify outcomes and used a tailored toolkit to reliably measure
progress.
In light of the pilot's success, we have secured a further
investment to develop the methodology into an accredited programme.
